Children’s Ministry

We love our children and their safety is our top priority. All of our Children’s Ministry volunteers have gone through a thorough background check. We also adhere to a stringent check in and check out process for the safety of your children.

Calvary Kids Bible Club is has been blessed to be able to present the Gospel of Jesus Christ using Bible stories, scripture memorization, prayer, games, and personal relationships. The programs are conducted in the public schools one day each week afterschool for 1 hour. They are operated by volunteers in elementary schools in the Visalia area.

• We currently have 12 clubs in 8 elementary schools in the Visalia area;
• Total weekly enrollment is 234;
• Total Volunteers in Public schools is 40.

Our Goal is to further develop existing clubs in order to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ to elementary aged children, assist in their growth, and to reach out to family members as well. We are also committed to having a personal and positive influence in each of their lives.

Children's Ministry

It is our purpose and our heart’s desire that Calvary Visalia Children’s Ministry be a place where every child experiences Jesus Christ.

Philosophy of Ministry

The Lord wants us to grow to love and serve Him through the teaching of the Bible. Our purpose in ministering to the children at Calvary Visalia Church is to support the parents not only in bringing their children to the knowledge of Jesus Christ, but discipling them, as well.

It is our desire for our Children’s Ministry to come alongside parents in bringing their children to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. The book of Colossians, chapter 1 verse 18 tells us that He must be pre-eminent in all things. This means thinking His thoughts, following His example, hearing His word, and doing His will. This is clearly confirmed in passages such as Romans 8:29. God has chosen us to be “conformed to the likeness of His Son…,” and in Colossians 3:10, Paul tells us we have to “put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator.”

Calvary Visalia Church provides Nursery and Children’s Ministry all Sunday Morning Services and Wednesday Night Church. For more information regarding Calvary Visalia Children’s Ministry, please contact our Children’s Ministry Director, Becky Goodman at 559-687-0220.
