Ephesians 4:32

“Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.” Ephesians 4:32
People let you down. They do stupid things. They have bad days. They lose their tempers. They make you want to yell at them…to run from them…to quit and give up on them. Many days, people make you feel like they’re not worth the time to pour into them…to work with them…to be friends with them. They give you completely justified reasons to be upset and to have hurt feelings. And sometimes…WE are those people!
Often times it’s hard to be kind when someone has hurt you. It’s hard to be tenderhearted and compassionate to a person when they have knowingly gotten themselves into a difficult situation. It’s hard to forgive when someone has wronged you. On a daily basis we’re put in circumstances where doing the right thing is not always the easy thing.
BUT GOD! God’s not asking us to do these things out of our own strength. He’s asking us to see what HE has already done for us through Christ’s death and resurrection, and make the choice to follow suit. Choose kindness. Choose compassion. Choose forgiveness. And rely on Him when those choices are hard…He’ll take the burden from us!
So whatever the situation is that you face today, lean on God, give Him the hurt, and choose to do what He wants and in those right, Godly actions, you will be sharing the love of Jesus!
