Isaiah 43:19

“For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.” Isaiah 43:19
Most people see the start of the new year as January 1. But if you’re a mom, the new year starts in the fall…when the kids go back to school! At our home, we’re still a house divided between summer mode and school mode. My daughter started school last week and my boys start at the end of this week. All three of my kids are in major milestone years, and it’s making this mama’s heart awfully emotional.
Olivia is in 6th grade, and at her school, that means she is now in middle school. She has more than one teacher, gets to choose electives, play sports and for the first time in her life, she doesn’t have either of her brothers on the same campus.
Carson will be a freshman. New EVERYTHING! New school, new friends, new opportunities, and the chance to get to spend one year of high school with Reece.
And Reece is a senior. So we’re facing the last first day of high school and then graduation. I’m SO NOT READY!! But he completely is.
So I’m praying Isaiah 43:19 over all three of my kids. I’m trusting that God is taking this new school year and beginning something new and wonderful in each of their lives. He’ll make a way for them when they don’t know where to go or what to do. He’ll create rivers in those deserts and will provide everything they will possibly need or want. It’s such a relief to know that my God loves them more than I can ever imagine. It makes trusting Him with my precious kids that much easier, because I know that His plans for them are SO much better than mine.
Give me the names of your kids and I’ll add them onto my prayer list! The more prayer for our babies, the better!
