Proverbs 7:1-3

“Follow my advice, my son; always treasure my commands. Obey my commands and live! Guard my instructions as you guard your own eyes. Tie them on your fingers as a reminder. Write them deep within your heart.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭7:1-3‬ ‬
One of the greatest takeaways that I got from our recent retreat is this A to Z Journal of God’s Attributes & Absolutes About Him! Are you using yours? Don’t you love it!?!?
Sally introduced us to the idea of, as you’re reading your Bible or listening to a teaching and you come across a verse that talks about an absolute or an attribute of God, pull our your journal and write down the word, the reference and the verse alphabetically.
Then, for instance, when you’re feeling anxious, turn to P and look at all the verses you’ve written down that talks about God’s PEACE. When you’re feeling confused look, turn to W and check out the verses about His WISDOM.
I’m going to admit that I’m not a great journaler or note taker. But this has been a great tool for me to use during my daily devotions and it’s a much more focused way of journaling, which has been awesome for me.
If you were at our retreat, pull out your journal and your Bible and start writing!! If you weren’t at retreat, make your own A to Z binder. I love that we can all be doing this together! What verses have you put in your binder? Share them below (then pull out that binder again and write down the verses that others have written in!!)!!
