Psalm 34:1-3, “I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make its boast in the Lord; The humble shall hear of it and be glad. Oh, magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt His name together.”
There’s just something about praising the Lord. So often I get caught up in my thoughts and problems and begin down a path of complaining and downhill I go. Pretty soon I remember the Lord and start to think about Him and all He has done. I have a little talk with myself and rehearse in my mind His faithfulness to me over and over again. I remember His promises that He loves me, that He will never leave me nor forsake me. It reminds me of His compassion and His mercy.
It is not long before a song comes into my heart praising Him for all His blessings and goodness towards me. The Lord is so worthy of our praise. We can bless Him at all times because even in our difficulties He is working all things together for His good and ours. By praising God our situation may not change, but we certainly do. We remember our God, who He is and we cannot help but worship Him. I find myself going along singing songs of praise in my heart and my mind and my days certainly get better, and my soul is lifted up.
